Josh Came To Visit

Our friend, Josh, was in town packing up the rest of his things finishing his move to Houston now that he works at NASA. He had his Jeep so Jack wanted to go for a ride around the block in it. Josh took out a couple of suitcases and left them on the sidewalk as we went around the block. Just as we were pulling up to the house, someone was taking Josh's suitcases. Fortunately, we made it back just in time. What was funny is that Jack had his pirate gun that we bought while in Disney. We've been talking a lot about gun safety (even if it is pretend, there's no shooting at people or animals) and once answered his question (several days ago) why police officers have guns. So when Jack saw the "bad guy" he said, "that's a bad guy, I can shoot him." Things calmed down and we went inside to have lunch. Josh had a special surprise for Jack - an official NASA jacket with all the patches. Jack LOVES his jacket and has told everyone about it. Before Josh left back to Houston, he played a few rounds of chase and hide-and-seek.

Disneyworld!

We just got back from Disneyworld and had a "magical" time. We stayed at the Polynesian and Jack loved playing on the beach and in the new pool. He made a new friend every day. These are just a couple of pictures and the other 12 rolls are being developed. Since Jack is over 40 inches tall, we were able to do most of the rides. (not quite 44" so we couldn't do space mountain) Jack's first ride was the Test Track at Epcot. From there we went to have lunch with Mickey, Chip, Dale and Pluto. The character dining was fantastic. Jack loved that Chip colored with him and Dale tickled him. We ate at the Garden Grill which is a moving restaurant with changing scenery. Jack's favorite ride was the "crazy driver train" aka Big Thunder Railroad. While waiting in line for Dumbo (45 minute line) (twice) Ryan ran around the park and got the fast passes for all the big rides. Jack even did splash mountain. We asked him if he liked a ride, and he would say, "oh yes" but if we asked if he wanted to do it again, he said, "no." :) For his first ride on the monorail, he got to ride with the pilot in the front and even got a pilot license. It was a great trip.

Cocoa and Jack

Cocoa now loves to snuggle with Jack at night.

Drew's Soccer Game

We all had a great time watching Drew play at his soccer game. Jack was so excited that he got to throw the ball back to the players when it went out of bounds. At halftime, Ryan and Jack flew a kite since it was extremely windy. Jack can't wait to go to another game.

Worn Out from a Playdate

After school the other day, we went to play with Wes, Jack's friend, at their house. They found the water so we had to borrow some of Wes' clothes on the way home. After he put on the earphones we use at airshows, Jack fell asleep in his carseat.

Tree Climbing

Jack has always been a climber. He even asked to take tree climbing lessons this summer. While I was planting flowers in the front lawn, Jack climbed the pine tree in our yard and made it almost to the top. You can see a little dark spot at the top - that's Jack.

First Fat Lip

Jack tripped over a root at the playground and got his first fat lip.
